MAYA AND THE WHALE by Hazel Darwin-Clements

Maya and the Whale is the story of a young climate activist on the run who finds herself face to face with a beached whale.

Her dad works in the oil industry and her mum just wants her to have a childhood free of worry, but how can she go about 'business as usual' when there’s a climate emergency? 

In this darkly comic and provocative show with live music, the audience becomes the whale itself. A powerful reminder of smallness confronting hugeness.

Written for a generation facing unprecedented challenges, Maya and the Whale asks: what is 'business as usual' makes us complicit? How far are young people prepared to go to demand change?

Doors will open at 6.40pm; the performance will start at 7pm. There will be no interval. 

After the show there will be a short discussion (15 minutes max) including special guests from Ullapool; you are invited to stay for this.
