This event is programmed to coincide with the HPS @ 40 exhibition at Inverness Museum & Art Gallery - celebrates 40 years of the Highland Print Studio being a centre for printmaking in the Highlands.

In 1996 the printmakers commissioned artists to create artwork to celebrate the Hillman Imp, a car manufactured in Scotland at the Linwood car plant. The artwork was contained within an actual Hillman Imp, which went on to tour round Scotland, the tour culminating outside the Asda that now sits on the site of the former Linwood plant. The exhibition was hugely popular and BBC Ex-S arts programme produced a documentary ‘Linwood No More' about the project. 

This event is by lead artist on the project, John McNaught and the documentary film director, Don Coutts, followed by a screening of Linwood No More.

Spaces are limited to 30, so we encourage booking a place. There is no charge for this event, but donations are welcomed.
